"Wow" was the operative and oft-repeated word heard on Thursday as Star Trek fans/San Diego Comic-Con attendees stepped into the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts Gallery. And that's because they were both shocked and thrilled to be so thoroughly immersed so early on in the world of Star Trek: Discovery, via an impressive display of costumes and props flown in from the Discovery set in Canada for the occasion. The attention to detail on each and every costume is astounding, and informative plaques provide details about their function on the show and how they were made.
Fans were also treated to oversize production art and photos of the cast in character/costume, as well as an opportunity to sit in the Discovery captain's chair. Entertainment Tonight visited the gallery to give fans around the world a first look at the props and costumes of Star Trek: Discovery.
Thirteen uniforms are on display along with Klingon, Vulcan and Starfleet props. Here are the highlights:

#TrekDiscovery Challenge
On Friday and Saturday, the gallery will again be in the spotlight as fans can take the #TrekDiscovery Challenge for a chance to win great prizes. Here's how:
- In and around SDCC, fans will encounter an array of authentically costumed Trek crews from five of the series (The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise).
- Fans who post photos of themselves with each of the five series' crews - and also in the U.S.S. Discovery captain's chair at the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts Gallery - and who tag all six photos with the #TrekDiscovery challenge hashtag on Twitter or Instagram, will be eligible to win a Roku streaming stick and a subscription to CBS All Access.
- Prizes will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Fans can find clues regarding the location of the #TrekDiscovery crews by following @StarTrek on Twitter and Instagram.
